All C6 Corvette's can suffer from the problem with HB wobble. Also, it is apparently a common enough issue to rank within the top 10 repair topics (IMO) on this forum. If the car has a stock balancer, check for the condition often and the need for replacement is also commonly preceded by a belt chirp at start-up.
Lots of write ups about it here and on the internet. Several good video's if you're interested in doing it yourself. Don't take it to a "stealer" because that's exactly what they'll do !!! Find a competent shop, preferably a Corvette shop, or at least someone who's done them before.
Did you have a local shop do it, and if so may I ask who and how much? Getting ready to put mine on the lift next month and do ours.
Thanks!
Yes I did have a performance shop in Boise do it. I got the ATI balancer which is pretty pricey but the best one in my opinion. You can save a couple hundred going with the Summit brand or Powerbond. Labor will be around 7 hrs. Total was around $1200, would probably have been under $1000 without the ATI.
