Okay I know this is a worn out topic but most info I read about is concerning a tune involved, my car is bone stock. Took out to today for state inspection and noticed temps climbing beyond normal. Fan not operating even with a/c on, checked fuse #25 and good disconnected harness to fan contol module and direct connected fan to 12 volts and it worked. Is it the fan control module? it has only been driven about 15 miles since dealership did TSB for leaking fuel tank, I don't even think they disconnected the battery when repaired because all radio settings were the same. This is a 2013 with 45K miles no issues prior to shop repairing the fuel tank issue.

Disconnecting the battery will not disturb the radio settings. Only thing it will do is to cause the window indexing to be reset. If those window indexing settings were not messed up, they didn't disconnect the battery.

I have an aftermarket Kenwood and today I disconnected the battery to try and reset ecm and the radio went back to set up mode and lost all memory.

My apologies, I did not know that an aftermarket radio would do that. A base radio would not.

No problem I didn't either until tonight but thanks for responding-I guess it could be coincidence that the fan quit properly functioning after the dealer had it but who knows.

My Kenwood also resets itself with battery when battery discounted.

I've disconnected the battery and the windows didn't need to be reindexed. I believe a few others have said this too so it's not a reliable indicator. Also if the dealership had any experience with c6s they would have reindexed the windows if required.

Any ideas on the Fan Control Module?

Why do you assume it's the fan control module? The most common failure is of the 3-pin connector. There's lots of posts about it. Here's a typical one, albeit of a 'Z', with some pics. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...as-struck.html
I think all models use the same connector. so don't worry about the 'Z' part.

Connectors all looked good, not burned or visible corrosion and have continuity.
