Not quite.
Character No. 5 is either a "Y" or a "Z" "Z" is a ZR1, any other than a ZR1 is a "Y"
Character 6 is a "2", which is a coupe.
Character 8 is a "W", which means it's an LS3 engine, which is correct for a 2008 Vette, and NOT a Z06.
The character 5 meaning you stated didn't start until model year 2010.

Thanks! I quickly pulled the VIN number off the last parts invoice I got from a local shop and it appears to be the wrong one.
