Default Shift boot for a Hurst shifter?

Done a few searches in here and different sites but haven’t found what I was looking for.

I installed a Hurst shifter a few months back (purchased on here) and while I like it (it’s stiff but in a goof way) - the stock shift boot is loose on the shifter. It lets a little heat in at times, and just don’t like that It’s loose.

What suggestions can anyone make? I hesitated buying an aftermarket since they look like I’d have that same gap.

If the boot is just loose around the top you could try a local upholstery shop. They should be able to use your old boot as a pattern and juts make the top fit more snugly. I had a console cover custom made by a local shop for less than the cost of a new aftermarket one, so it may cost less than you think.

Perhaps you could just put a zip tie around the top.
