Convertible Trunk Bolt Question

Hello everyone,

Can someone explain this bolt and how to lower it if it can be because it seems to be really jammed/raised and causing the car to lift in one spot. I am the second owner and it has 13K miles on it. No wrecks or damage noted from the previous owner. This is my first convertible but 5th Vette. Thanks for any advise...

That bolt looks misadjusted on my car too but it does not push my body panel up like yours. If I remember correctly mine has a jam nut on it that you would just loosen the jam then adjust the bolt and retighten the jam. You may have to raise the tonneau cover though, I'm not sure about that.

Bolt

This bolt is adjustable with an Allen wrench. You do not have to open the tonneau cover.
