Default Corvette Engraved Plaque Design Input

Hello Corvette fans! I'm actually hoping to graduate to a Corvette soon (from a Camaro)... but am looking for feedback on an engraved plaque design I'd like to give to my favorite uncle. I made a couple of these for me and my Camaro buddies so it should look similar to those. What do you guys think about the layout in general? The logo and trim too much? Maybe logo in another place? Here is what the current idea -

Here is a completed Camaro plaque -

Thanks in advance for your input!

They look good to me but I would like to see the HP and Torque numbers either replacing the Vin # or as an addition.

You are showing pic's of a ZR1 but then also info on a Z06, there is a difference. The engine looks like a LS3 out of a Camaro, I know because I have a Camaro too. The LS3 in the vette has different fuel rail covers, the LS7 in the Z06 is different from the LS3 and the LS9 in the ZR1 is supercharged and again, different. Or maybe you already know all of this and you are just showing a mock up of the layout? What model of Corvette does he have?

For me it is too busy with all the car images. I personally would just do the corvette, model
side view of corvette, and the info. Maybe add a personal touch with his name. Don’t take this as a negative as it is a cool idea just would change things up if I were making it.

*I don’t make the plaques, but I do have one from Deadbrand Designs.

I don’t encourage copying others’ work, but it could give the OP some ideas.

He has a Z06, I didn't realize the image I got is different, thank you for pointing that out - I'll have to ID all the differences and update the design. That plaque was originally from a Camaro so the engine and table details have not been fully updated to his car.

Not taking it in a negative way at all! I asked for input and appreciate it. The Camaro plaques I've done have been 8x12 so it doesn't look that busy on that size but I'd like to follow your input and design something with less. Definitely on a smaller (6x9 plaque) it would be too busy. And I also see the clean / sleek side of your comment - from a distance, it would look like a plaque of some car but if it was just the side view - it is unmistakable....

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! That is definitely a cool spec plate.

I appreciate all the input and will use it to update the design. Keep it coming!

Great gift; uncle will love it.
Yet I wonder, is this a garage wall plaque or for inside the car?

If for the car, well, I think with the engine photo and all is too busy.
I'd personally keep it simple; guessing the plaque will be installed on the cigar lighter door.

Again, great gift with any design.

Not trying to rain on the parade, and it looks interesting once the spec issues are worked out...but not clear where it would go? Wall art?

I also have a Deadbrand design that went on the fuse box lid and I chose to keep the specs stock(ish) for originality.
Mine is attached with Velcro to be removable on track days to avoid potential heat damage (think it was JABCAT who suggested that)

Thanks Kenny! The plaque is meant to be "wall art" for the garage / mancave / hallway leading to the garage.

Not raining at all - I asked for input and I'll take all of it - positive or "negative". I actually like the "negative" because it helps me improve the design. Like I mentioned above - wall art. I love those Deadbrand plate! I may try something like that for my car.

So with all the input pushing "simple", how about this? Or is it "busy" again? Maybe I have this tendency to try to fill spaces...?

I like that version much better but that is just me. Not sure you noticed but the Corvette Flag is backwards.

The image is a ZR1, not a Z06. And the flag emblem is backwards. Keep trying.

I've done a few plaques on 8x12 of that multi-view. I think a 6x9 would be great for that single view. I'd also like to try some painted / anodized / powder coated aluminum.

I think I'm getting there. Also got rid of the hood cutout on the top and front views in case I use those.

Again, thank you all for the input. If anyone is interested, After I get his done, I may have some time to make others since I'll have the design kind of ready. PM me.

I would call it more like striving for than copying but thanks for comparing!

I also think your image would look better if you got rid of the vertical line that is in front of the side vent. Again, look at the two images, the other image doesn't have the vertical line and is more accurate looking.

The “Z06” is not correct here, it’s from the C7. The Correct Z06 is on the two examples above or here

Isn't anybody going to mention the wheels in the drawing? Those look more like the C5 Z06 wheel, or an aftermarket wheel than ones that were available for the C6 Z.

They’re Z06 spyder wheels.
