I hadn’t adjusted the lights yet and drove at night. Right away noticed they were way high and I was blinding people.
I took off the upper headlight access covers in the wheel well in the comfort of my garage and then drove it to the local middle school just around the corner for a flat parking lot with an empty wall on the gym. Brought a 25’ tape measure, a small socket wrench and 8mm socket, and a flashlight. From 25’, the lights were almost a foot too high (should be 25” off ground), so they needed a big adjustment down as expected. They also needed some adjustment outward from center to get the hot spots where they needed to be (26.75” from center).
I did the exact same thing as you described and the exact same results, only difference was mine was at a church parking lot that has a building for the Boy Scout troop to store their equipment.
Even after adjusting, the headlight beams look like they cross in the distance as driving. Is that normal, or did I not space them enough (even though I measured)?
Update: I moved this part to the adjustment thread, but realized I measured 25 inches to the ground, but the ground was the sidewalk, which is a curb height above what the car is sitting on. So, they are still 4-6 inches too high which may be my problem. Off to correct tonight.
One thing that I noticed in all of the install videos is that no one addresses where and how they secured that electronic box that comes attached to the lights. I don't even see anything about it in the Morimoto instructions.
I saw one video where they just tucked it behind, which is what I did. I didn’t secure it though. Just place and tried to slide the light back quickly. I’m sure it moves. Was just hoping wires didn’t get pinched. Still working fine.

I sealed it in bubble wrap and small baggie and used clear box tape to make it as water tight as possible and tucked it in behind the light. Wanted to keep is dry (probably over kill) but mainly didn't want it to rattle around, thus the wrapping.
Plan on installing the Moromoto xb led headlights....Is it possible to install them or even the stock headlight assembly without completely dropping the front bumper? I thought I saw someone doing a video on the installation with the front bumper still attached but just loose at the top.
Bumping for guys who find this thread in the present, the first video is clutch!!
The tip to swap the OEM studs in instead of the Morimoto supplied ones will save a LOT of headache and bad fitment. Its those little tips that help a ton.
Also, like someone else said the C6Z has two strong little clips on the upper bumper where it connects to the fender. Thought I missed some bolts for sure, but you just have to pull STRAIGHT UP gently and the bumper will pop out of a little vertical plastic clip. Takes a good amount of force and feels like it might break.
