I have read many great threads regarding the A6 shifter lock up problem. Is there anything wrong with replacing the Shifter Assembly using the assembly from Zip Corvette part # ST-6352 ?
I am curious if this part fits and works before I decide to purchase one.

Thank You 😊
Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water at $400, since it not the entire shifter assembly the problem, but just a cheap micro switch in the assembly what needs to be replaced itself.
I was more curious if the shifter assembly was the correct assembly for an A6. I read on other threads the shifter assembly was not available from Dealers.
I will keep everyone posted. I have also noticed that he shifter has been working fine since the car has been on a tender 24/7. I start the car a couple times a day just to see how the shifter is working. The battery is a 36mos battery and was installed in 7/19. I am thinking a poor battery may have been effecting the shifter solenoid. I will install a new battery first, then monitor the shifter for a while before changing the shifter or replacing the limit switch.
