Default Window sticker doesn't match build sheet?

I am considering the purchase of a 2011 GS-3LT and the Window sticker has the Z15 Heritage package, but the build sheet does not. It has 2-tone seats with cross flag headrest stitching but no fender stripes. ANY CLUES? Is this a red flag?

Someone either never installed the fender stripes or they could have removed them. In my opinion, it looks better without.

I am more concerned about the two documents not matching. The stripes are not on the build sheet, so that matches the car.

It’s doubtful they have the original window sticker. It would have had the original MSRP on it, for one thing. So, they’ve printed another one and it has at least one error if Z15 is not on GMs build sheet. Why not just ask the seller what’s up the the the discrepancy. I don’t see this as a red flag. Go with what the build sheet says the car shipped with. Get the service history from them. Also, insist that they deliver the car with 2 working fobs, and check that the cut key actually opens the hatch to avoid some grief later on. Test both fobs.

Lots of folks left the stripes off as they where a dealer installed item.
even the reproduction window stickers from the corvette Museum are known to have errors

yes VIN matches everywhere and we just received a copy of the real build sheet and Z15 is nowhere to be found.

Is Z15 in the glove compartment where all the RPO codes are located?

If you like the car, I would go with it. Try to reconcile everything to your satisfaction.

First make sure the VIN number on the documents you have match as leebay has suggested. Contact the NCM for a copy of the window sticker and the build sheet. You can also look inside the glove compartment door and compare the RPO codes to the window sticker and build sheet that you have.

So buy it or move one, it's not going to make a difference in the value of the car.

So, it appears you have two tone seats with embroidery and not the heritage package.

One a side note - where are the build sheets found? Did they hide them in the car somewhere?

I don't believe that your car has the Heritage package if it has crossed flags on the headrests. The Heritage package has the Grand Sport logo embroidered on the headrests. The other two items that make up the Heritage package are the two-tone seats and the fender stripes. There's other ways to get two-tone seats so that alone isn't an indicator of Z15. I'm not sure why it shows up on the window sticker because it sure doesn't seem to be on the car. Are you buying the car from the original owner? Ask them if they bought the stripes and left them off. Maybe they still have them. Make sure you get them if they do. You can't buy those anymore.

You can buy them from the National Corvette Museum. They are nice to have and might tell you a little more about your car. I think they come laminated now. You can also get the window sticker which they are now printing in color.

Message me the VIN, I'll check the GM VIS report. It'll have all the options listed for the build.

The Cross Flags headrest were RPO OB1. The Z15 Heritage package would have the GS logo on the head rest. So, I would say you do not have a Z15 option. However, a GS is a GS the heritage package is just the different headrest and the fender strips and those were dealer installed if the owner requested them to be installed.

Pretty much all there is to see. I don't see that Z15 RPO you're looking for, but in my case, I don't like the fender stripes anyways . Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
