I read a lot of people bashing them, but no follow up as to why. I've ordered from them twice with no issues except maybe a little too long to receive item (compared to like Amazon). Whats your complaint? and where do you shop?

Run Forest Run..................You've been lucky so far. You know they are banned from CF, and other Corvette sites as well. Has to be pretty bad when a forum will not take advertising vendor money. Plenty of posts regarding their reputation here, try the search function or just read thru the Transactions sub-forum.

A quick Google search will show you the countless horror stories. You may have had luck with them, as well as others. It's when things go wrong and a company shows how they handle it is where most of their reputation comes from.
I do all my shopping for parts by searching what I need, then looking at corvetteforum threads about what people have had luck with buying and go from there. Rarely do I buy stuff blindly without anyone vouching for it.

To actually answer your question... Corvette Mods is basically a guy working out of his garage and they don't really stock much of anything. When you order from him he buys the product from his source and has it drop shipped to you. Everything is great until there is an issue of any type with the item. Wrong color, defective part, incorrect part, part doesn't fit, wrong part shipped, part not in stock are just a few of the examples of where things go off the rails with Corvette Mods. Not to mention customer service is next to zero.
Hope that helps clear up why many despise Corvette Mods.

^^^This ^^^ I actually ordered a set of Lloyds mats from them before I knew about their reputation. It took over a month to get them and they were dropped shipped from Lloyds. Buyer beware and I will never purchase from them again.
They couldn't have handled my situation any worse. I fell for their good search engine optimization and bought from them within the first month of owning my car.
I ordered a dual cup holder for the C6 which arrived broken. Not so bad, but obviously I wanted one that wasn't broken, so they sent me another after I contacted them, sent pictures, etc. The cupholder they sent was a different design and didn't fit well. When I told them, their response was that it fits and that's the only one they sell now.
They said I could ship them back but it was on me to ship them and they would charge a restocking fee.
Since I was sent the wrong replacement, I filed a claim with my credit card company, American Express. American Express reviewed the product listings, the emails, and pictures I shared with them, and decided to refund me. Corvette Mods then starts emailing me at 10pm one night saying I stole from them and I was committing fraud and they were getting their legal team involved. I told them what American Express told me, which was to contact American Express if they wanted to dispute it and get their money.
They tried that and American Express still sided with me. CorvetteMods sent me a bunch of threatening emails and I told them to read up on the Fair Debt Collections Act because they had already violated some parts of the act.
What do they do? Well I found out 8 months later when I was applying for my mortgage that CorvetteMods reported me to collections. I was never notified by a collector and never received an info about my "debt" being sent to a collector. Again, this is illegal and against the Fair Debt Collections Act. According to Amex they have no legal grounds to report someone to collections once a dispute has been resolved. At this point I am just moving on and giving my words of warning to others, but they put themselves in legal trouble over a $55 part that they messed up and tried to blame me for.
i bought one thing from them back in the day (m2w controller) with no issues, but after reading the horror stories i opted to take my business elsewhere

That is their SOP all the time, the many screw ups are never theirs, it's yours, even if it's blatant. They hate to give a refund, it kills them, they'll figh to not do it. It's a back room operation, just a middleman business that has no product knowledge whatsoever.
Through research and public records, I managed to contact the owner to straigten my mess out, he was shocked I got through to him. I got my refund.

Corvette Mods also runs Modern Gen Auto, so buyer beware on this site as well. They offer the same bad customer service once you order.
STAY AWAY....far far away. For those that have ordered and got lucky with the correct items shipped, thank your lucky stars.
Even a broken clock gets it right twice per day.

Based on all the site feedback here, I will not ever support/spend at that business. I'm sure all site can / make mistakes. But how often and how they are handled make all the difference.
Ordered a set of LED interior lights from them, over half of them didn’t work and when I called them to return them they told me too bad. F corvette mods.
