Default Automatic shifter removal

I have a 2009 Vette that I bout from a dealer. I have no history on this car. The car is a LT3, Z51 automatic and it is the corvette from hell.

My latest problem is the car is stuck in Park and has no POWER except the passenger seat. Nothing else works. Good battery, As far as I can tell the car is stock. Since
my shifter does not look like the other videos I have seen could it be the LT3 package or the Z51 package is somewhat different than other base '09's?

I have watched all the videos on this problem, looked at all the forums here and nothing addresses my problem. I was in the process of taking the console apart and all
went well until the shifter ****. I could not get the shifter to release the boot cover. I finally just cut the cover off. And there is no torx (or any other type) screw to loosen
to release the shifter. I cant tell if there is a screw in the back of the shifter because it locked in park and cant get it out of the way. to see. The shifter looks to me like
it is just screwed on......instead of lifted up on it. All I am trying to do is release the park lock so the car can be towed to the dealer. I am assuming that if the car is
pulled onto the flatbed while it is in park it may destroy the xmission.

Sorry this is so long but totally frustrated. I have had the car for nine months and only been able to drive it for two of those months.

Any help (sympathy also accepted) greatly appreciated.

Jim

Just so you know your car has the 3LT package not LT3.

A picture is worth a lot so folks could see what you are looking at.

I don’t have an auto but have seen some threads on fixing the pawl that is not allowing you to move out of park. have you searched for that?

Sounds like you are very frustrated but patience will be your best friend.

Sorry for the typo, fingers can't keep up with the brain. Yes to the pawl is what I am trying to get to. The problem is I cant get to it until I remove
the console. Its an easy fix if I had power to the car so I could move the lever via the ACC mode. Dealer has diagnosed the battery wiring harness is
the problem. Thanks for your reply. 95 percent of the videos and posts deal with the C6 manual which is different.

Sorry to hear that you are having so many problems with your car. I have attached a couple of documents that should be of some assistance to you.

Good luck.

This is the youtube video I used. I didn't cut the pawl but drilled a hole in it and attached a thin wire and ran it into my console.
