new battery, no luck on the windows, locks and mirrors working. Strange thing is, when I have the car in the on position ill get the chimes that the drivers door is open. Then after maybe 10 seconds it stops and starts back up again. Does the head unit have anything to do with the theft system/security?
I don’t think the head unit has anything to do with the security system. What head unit do you have, stock or aftermarket ? Have you taken the car out for a drive since replacing the battery ?

I replaced the kenwood head unit with a newer kenwood head unit. I haven't taken the car out because im worried about the security system going nuts and potentially leaving me stranded somewhere. I literally just got done dropping the new battery in 15 minutes ago.
hate to bump a 3 year thread, but im having this issue. I replaced my head unit and battery terminals a few months back, but never started the car up because its winter. So I started the car up today because its nice out and was going to take it for a spin. Now the security light is on and I cant roll the windows up from the drivers door. The passenger switch will roll up the passenger window, but the drivers window switch, mirrors and memory seat buttons are not working. However, the drivers door release button does work. I checked the BCM connections and didn't see anything out of place (I was in there when I wired the back up cam power). I'm going to replace the battery tomorrow, its 7 years old, but always on a battery tender. I did not see a fix for this from all the searches I did.
Without a factory level or similar aftermarket scan tool to see if you have any body codes stored (most likely in the Driver Door Module) you will never be able to diagnose this...my suggestion is to find a diagnostic or auto electric shop in your area and let them see what's going on...all you can do is replace a bunch of parts and that may not fix it...I highly doubt you'll find someone with the exact same problem.

I have an aftermarket head unit also with no issues. Not that I know this’ll work, but I suggest driving it around a little bit to see if it clears it up, even if it’s just around the block a few times.
On my list of "to-do's" over the winter was to pull the onstar fuse to keep from any battery draw while parked. Guess what idiot pulled the 10amp drivers door module fuse thinking it was the 10amp onstar fuse right above it? Me............but hey, ill take this mistake all day long! Thanks for everyone's input, much appreciated!

Glad you found it !!…maybe if you told us you pulled a fuse when all this happened we may have figured it out…BTW, I pulled my Onstar fuse just to see if it decreased my small drain…no !!

Honestly, I dont even remember pulling it before having rotator cuff surgery in January. The last few days ive been able to actually get into the vet and wanted to check everything over. I cant believe I made such a stupid mistake, but I sure am glad this is what it was!
And no drain from Onstar? I'm shocked. But at the same time, I don't see any forum members that know extensive electrical like you do.

I’m sure if all VCIM modules had an excessive parasitic drain GM would have come out with a TSB addressing this.

Don’t worry, we’ve all done things like that, I’m glad it was something simple, and you got it working right. Yeah, OnStar is no longer supported, so no loss there. I have the steering wheel controls on the left side of my steering wheel, and every time I tried to program them, they’d always default to OnStar, once I pulled the OnStar fuse, I could program them to operate the way I wanted them to.
