You might be able to fit an inline 3 cylinder in one of those.
wheelbases are the same as the C5
windshields are located in the same position as C5
wheelwells/front fenders have grown to accomodate 18 inch wheels providing for a more pronounced silhouette (19 inch @ rear)
it would seem unfortunate to develop an inline 3 cyl. when the resulting engine bay would allow for a LS1/LS6 sized engine

You hacked out about four inches in front of the front tires and chopped another 3 inches off of the cowl height between the front tire and the base of the windshield. That engine compartment is already crammed full.
The tiny engine compartment messes with the Corvette's traditional long hood/short rear deck configuration that makes it look so good.

I like the rear end treatment on both, but there is something displeasing about the chopped-off nose.
Isn't the C6 rumored to have a longer wheelbase? Try moving the front wheels forward to get that classic long hood.
