I'm thinking about buying a corvette for this summer, looked at a 2008 C6 callaway with the VIN number 1G1YY36W185117344, with 45,000km on it.
How reliable are these cars? I don't really want to race the car, but mainly use it for road trips.
Is there anything in this car that I need to worry about, or replace right after I get the car?
Callaway's are extremely reliable. When people complain about the cost of the package compared to Average Joe's Garage build, you're getting the Callaway experience, knowledge, and workmanship. That said, I'd look for full maintenance records, recent maintance, new tires, etc. So many of the low-mileage C6s I see for sale haven't had any regular maintenance performed.
I have only had my Callaway SC-606 since November 2021, so I can't really comment. The carfax shows the vette was serviced at the dealer and only some headlight and alignment issues, which have nothing to do with the Callaway package. I called the dealership and the harmonic balancer was changed, but that again, has nothing to do with the Callaway package. Callaway has a very good reputation for performance AND reliability. Good luck!

I remember over a decade ago, Callaway had a 2008 SC580 which was like the town bicycle - everyone got a crank... Car was sold with just under 95,000 miles. While the guy who bought it eventually turned the odometer past 100k mi, Callaway decided to hammer on a 2010 Grand Sport for 100,000 miles and did so in two-years. That car now has about 7,000 miles shy of 300,000 miles today I've never seen a post with any troubles with their cars, other than when owners screw with them.
Yep, the Callaway package upgrade is very good in the terms of reliablitly, but the downfall to dam near any used vets, is if the owner was doing the needed maintenance or not on the car isntead.
