I can't help it but I really l gotta get my exhaust tips as even and straight across as possible. I just purchased a 2011 GS with Corsa Sport installed and although not horrible, the tips were not even both front to rear and level across the top. I notice this is common on many cars. This is something that is so easy to resolve. I used a board to make sure they were straight after I loosed the bolts.
Crooked pipes:
I loosened the Clamp nut on each pipe and then clamped a board where needed to get them straight.
Then check them front to rear and tighten the two clamps:
For what ever reason the corsa was hard to get exactly right....the easiest was magnaflow I had on my 2007...the tips bolted on and had plenty of adjustment so you could get those laser straight...You are sort of at the mercy of how they were welded at Corsa....I actually had to loosen a hanger on my 13 which had your exact cat back to get them right...My newer corsa with the big tips were easier...still took my trusty rubber hammer lol...and a level.
You did good....don't forget to polish them too....
The Corsa Xtreme tips are difficult to get perfectly aligned. I believe I have just about 1/8” difference between mine. The tips on the Xtreme for the Z06/ZR1 also hang lower than those on the systems for the standard cars which bugs me. Some owners have made custom hanger brackets to allow the tips to be pushed up higher on the Z cars.
It's way better but if you look closely, the tips are straight but slightly lower on one side. It's like the brackets are off a little. I'll live with it for now.
Also, I never really thought about the pipes moving over time, but it does make sense.

Yeah since most of these are clamp systems, the heating and cooling of the exhaust will cause them to shift slightly over time. A lot of people tack weld to help with that. I haven't because I'm waiting to see if AWE Exhaust gets into the C6 game.

I hate to tell you but there is a little play in the brackets that hold the hanger....those on the rear for sure....might or might not be enough to drop one or raise one for both....OCD beware....
I have stock NPP exhaust.
Just picked up an exhaust filler panel from American Car Craft.
Never noticed it before (surprised, given my penchant for being OCD!) how much the
tips are out of line!
Were you going for straight or level? Did you use a level? I suppose there is only so much adjustment as well
I'm going for straight and level. But I'm settling for straight for now because both isn't easily achieved with my setup.

I did notice that the bracket that the rubber hangs on is a simple bolt hole that could be slotted. This seems like a good way to make things perfect. If I slot the driver side brackets up 1/4"(or the passenger side down 1/4") then they will be about perfect. Then I might have to do another tip alignment too.

It's easy to overlook if your not looking for it. Welcome to the SET Club (Straight Exhaust Tip Club).
OP here and I learned a few tips this evening. I was able to get my Corsa tips even better.
I had my car up on QuickJacks and once I began looking at the exhaust I noticed that I could move the axle back pipes..... before I loosened ANYTHING. As it turns out, these spacers(pic below) prevented the OEM x-pipe from tightening down on the Corsa axle back.
I removed them and was able to easily achieve clamping pressure and prevent any movement in the axleback. This should prevent any future movement on the axle back connections and prevent/reduce any exhaust tip misalignment. 👍
The other thing I learned is that there actually is a little adjustment in the OEM muffler mount brackets which allowed me to get the Corsa tips nearly perfect.
My drivers side.will always work it's way out a little farther than the passenger side.
I removed those spacers and used an impact to tighten it and it still moved.
I'm going.to move the passenger side out to match it.
Ah, sorry to hear that. Try cleaning the pipe ends before installing them next time you mess with it. Maybe the soot is acting as a lubricant. I'll try this if mine move again.
I'm surprised how little mine have moved since I straightened them last month. Especially since they clamps were not really clamping.
I consider little oddities a feature vs a problem. If it causes someone to mention something, it becomes a great opportunity for conversation and a friendship. I've had my left backup light not functioning for at least 12 years, which has given me many chances to meet nice and caring people who point out the problem.

That's a cool way of looking at things. I should work on that.
i was gonna mess with your ocd by telling you the L side pair hung lower but you caught it
Im the same way...not seeking absolute perfection but think it looks sloppy when people throw tips on any old way or one pipe is obviously way off.
