Short of a Tick master cylinder, that you have to adjust top of pedal stroke free play into the pedal (1/2'~1") so you don't over stroke the pressure plate with the TB of the slave since it can move more volume than a stock master cylinder of fluid.
Now if someone dropped in an after market clutch and slave cylinder that that Take up spring was removed, then this could be causing some problems.
Simply, need more information of what clutch is in play, what clutch master and slave cylinder in play, and if it seem that there is too much free play at top of pedal with all OEM parts, then maybe time to do a ranger clutch fluid method of flushing out the old fluid and replacing it with new fluid.
As for oem system, no clutch pedal free play adjustment, since the system is self adjusting to begin with.
