My car is at my friends shop, fluids, rotors, pads, etc and I’m switching to Bilstein B8 shocks too. I did some pre-service measurements and I’m anxious to see if the ride height changes much. It wasn’t that I disliked the ride with the OEM setup, I just wanted to start fresh with the car since I bought it late in the season and then went down with a hip replacement in October. I didn’t see a whole lot of B8 info using the search function but it seems that most who went to the B8 got the results they were after. I did notice that the ride height with the current OEM setup was pretty consistent. I measured from floor to the bottom edge of of the wheel opening. Fronts were 1/16” the rears were 3/16” different. I’d welcome any comments on the B8’s anyone can offer up. Thanks, John
Changing your shocks will not affect your ride height. B8s are a good purchase if you do end up lowering your C6 though. You can achieve this by adjusting the small bolts at the ends of the springs just behind each brake disc. Here's a YouTube video to get you started.
I also did B8's on my 08' Z51 equipped and also measured all corners and the height did change very slightly, was actually about 3/4 higher! Drove it a few weeks, re measure and all corners were so close to factory. The ride is much better, firmer, a little stiffer but that could all be mental!! But my main reason was to eliminate wheel hop which the B8's fixed so I'm sure there a little stiffer
The Bilstein shocks are the exact same length as the OEM, so if you notice a difference in ride height after the suspension settles it's because your OEM shocks have taken a crap. But it's still not a bad idea to have the alignment checked any time you do a suspension modification.

yes, hoping it stays the same height. I have no plans to lower it….
