2006 C6 3LT Base Vert
I have two other vehicles that say they are MP3 capable and with those two, I just burn my MP3 music onto a CD and they both play them with no problems....No so with the vette....put the disc in and it says "NO CD FOUND" What am I doing wrong or what am I missing here?
I believe what you are attempting to do only works on 2011 and later Corvettes with the navigation system. And if you have one of those cars you copy your music onto a USB Flash drive and plug it into the outlet inside the console. Or at least that's what I did.
The cheap and simple work around for you at the moment is a Bluetooth FM transmitter, which will allow you to stream music from your phone through your FM radio. The transmitters are about $15 on ebay and Amazon. Good luck.
Beginning on page 3-93 of the 2006 Owner's manual is a section on Using an MP3 CD. This section documents the procedure to burn and play MP3 CD's. If you have followed everything shown there, I don't know what else to tell you. I assume you have an OEM head unit.
