Page 436 of your 2007 owner's manual says you should change the transmission fluid every 50,000 miles for severe service or every 100,000 miles for normal service.
I think Newman meant to ask, or should have, how many miles on the trans fluid? If it has been 6 years or so, or 70K miles, since you changed trans, rear end, brake, power steering, and coolant, they all should be done.
Yes I understand that, I had the car for 5 years now and do not know if the transmission fluid has ever been changed. One time 3 years ago I lost most of the fluid in it when I hit a dip in a parking lot and it broke the radiator mount pushing it against the transmission lines breaking them. Lucky Hagerty insurance paid for that. Got new lines fan and radiator mount. The car had 120,000 miles on it. I have 132,000 miles now. So far I replaced two oxygen sensors, throttle body and throttle pedal and brakes. I drove it from California to Oklahoma it did very well. I do have a spare trany for it with only 45K miles on it. I could not pass buying it for $350
One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that if it's one of the solenoids, it might have thrown a code. The 6L40-E in my caddy had a sticking high pressure solenoid, and it threw a code. Also, @subfloor@centurytrans seems quite knowledgeable in these trannys, so you might reach out to him.
Aw I do have a code reader, and will check it,. I called a transmission shop they do not think it is the fluid causing it. I do have a spare tranny I got a good deal on with 45K miles on it, if it has a code I am just going to swap them out.
