Selective Ride Switch Removal
I was going to fix my stuck in park shifting problem today and have watched You Tube videos as well as reaching out on this Forum for info. The videos on You Tube either show this switch already removed or it is just a cover that pops out. They did not have the Tour/Sport Selective Ride switch. I tried to use a screwdriver end to help pop it out but I felt like it was going to break so I thought it was time to ask for some advise on this before I broke something and made things worse. It also little black button looking piece below the switch that says Passenger air bag. It seems I would need to remove this switch to get at the 2 screws that are under it for counsel removal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. This car in the pictures has no selective ride control switch like the picture I posted. I think that it is just a cover for cars that do not have this option and snaps off easily. I would like to see one like mine removed so I do not break it. It won`t pop out like the picture shows.

If you have a Harbor Freight close by you can get a cheap set of the plastic trim removal tools. They work a lot better that a screwdriver in some instances. I do have the selective ride but have never had to remove it so I can't help there but like someone already said, all the cover plates likely attach the same way.

They might be the same but then again they might not be. I just need to know before I damage somethig. I have pried very hard and it has not come out or even seemed like it was going to let loose. Someone must have the answer.
