Noisy driver's window
When closing the driver's side window there is a crackling sound when it reaches the fully closed position. I'm afraid the regulator is about to bite the dust. Is there anything else that could cause this sound? It indexes just fine and is totally quiet when opening.

I put up with a noisy regulator on the drivers side for a couple of months. It failed in the down position of course. I found a nib regulator on the forum here.
Not too bad of a job, only took an hour and a half or so to R&R it.
After putting on the door panel I discovered that the door has to be shut to index the window. Didn't take too long to figure that out
