Open the hatch with the key, pull the door release cable, open the door, pull the hood release cable, replace battery. If you can't do that, jack front of car up, hook jumper cable to starter positive terminal, ground to a ground on the body, open door, pull hood release, open hood, replace battery.

If you're locked out, open the trunk, pull the cable on the left side that releases the driver side door. Spring for an Optima Red Top size 25 replacement battery & be sure to use a battery tender if you're not already using one. The Red Top 25 will fit perfectly in an '05.
