Obviously I can't be outside the car when it's moving - which is when this is happening - but the indicator on my dash shows the lights and fog lights are on and off randomly. This happens with no rhyme nor reason. It is not like a loose wire where it happens over bumps or rough terrain, and I have checked that the photcell on top of the dash isn't blocked or obscured in any way.
I have converted a lot of the exterior lighting to LED's and wonder if they may be the culprit. I have changed the fog lights and the high beams up front and the stop/tail and back-up lights in the rear. Also the side marker lights and trunk and interior lights. I get no hyperflashing and when it gets dark the lights operate as they are supposed to. It is just during the day, with the switch set to "auto" that they randomly go on and off. I have manually switched them to off, but it still occurs.
What say you? Fault of the LED conversions? Bad photocell? switch and or wiring problem?

Thanks for any suggestions.

i would suspect the turn signal stalk. when mine went out, it would randomly turn on & off the high beams. changing the stalk is relatively easy. you just have to remove the clamshell cover behind the steering wheel. a few screws to remove the stalk and if i remember correctly, three pigtail connectors.
It's either the turn signal stalk or the photocell censor. Both are pretty easy to replace. If you end up messing with the photocell disconnect the front center speaker while you are in there.
