Harmonic balancer
Got my first Vette, a 2006, about a year ago. I've happily put about 4000 miles on it since, and thanks to reading this forum, I decided to check out my harmonic balancer. As you can tell, no doubt it is wobbling. Now it's pretty much off the road until I get it fixed. Glad I read these forums!

did it!!
replaced the old one a few weeks ago with an ATI super damper and ARP bolt and it wasnt too bad, i dropped the control arms and the 4 (or 6) big nuts holding the subframe and a couple other bolts here and there and it gave me enough room to get the balancer in and out, the tricky part was breaking the old bolt loose but I found that if i removed the coolant hose in the top I had plenty plenty of room to put a breaker bar on it from the top of the engine bay and it came out easy no heat or anything!! (sprayed liquid wrench on it the day before but doubt it did much) I started it and let it run for 20 mins or so and the new balancer is perfectly straight 0 wobble

I have a 2006 Convertible LS2 and went with the Summit SUM-C2501 harmonic balancer in November 2022 at 68K miles. It is a quality balancer and continues to perform flawlessly, I chose to go with an ARP bolt and replaced the crankshaft seal with a new GM Crankshaft Seal. I also replaced the belts, tensioners and idler pulley. I would not install a GM balancer.
