Default Ugly sunvisor warning labels…. Options?

Hey everyone!

I'm a bit torn atm. I really HATE the ugly Sunvisor warning labels, so I ordered some cover ups from a common vet mod vendor… and they were a bit too large. I applied them but any part of it that touched the fabric around the labels just sagged off the Sunvisor and looked awful. They were thus removed.

looking over other site offerings I have no way of knowing which sites offers a coverup that is cut to fit better or alternatively just sticks to the surrounding fabric better in the area which overlaps.

if anyone has covered these up, please let me know where you got yours, and if you like them! (Pictures wouldn’t hurt either!)

Keep looking. I bought some for my C6s, but don't remember where after 12-15 years. They were just the right size and had good sticky on them.

Here are the 2 I had on my visors.

Use a hair dryer to heat them up and they just pull off. Looks way cleaner than having those cover up things on there

^^^This is the correct answer^^^

A hair dryer and 20 minutes of time and the labels are gone. I use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remore to remove any residue left from the decals.

If you don't have a lot of experience removing decals with a heat gun I'd highly advise you use a hair dryer. The heat gun can get hot enough to melt the visor, the hair dryer only gets hot enough to melt the decal glue. You have been warned.

At this time I’m not interested in removing the decals, I hate them, but residue and damage concerns aren’t how I want to top of the end of my first month of owning this car lol.

I bought these 3-4 years ago on eBay, unfortunately I cannot find who it was that I bought them from. I’m sure you could probably find these on eBay still…

So you want to replace the extremely ugly seat belt decal with a decal that's just ugly... got it. :-)

I ordered visor label covers, the black cloth stick on ones from West Coast Corvette. They work great, stick well and are hardly noticeable.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A “loosely” matching black label that hides the ugly bright white label with goofy yellow blocks and bold letters is hardly as noticeable nor distracting.

everyone can’t help but see those, but a black vinyl cutout that’s 10-20% off the black scale would have to be pointed out for the average occupant to even realize you did it, or even to realize what it is that you covered.

Seriously though dude, what’s with the condescension? Can’t we just have a discussion here? We all love vettes. If I don’t wanna do it your way what’s the harm done to you?

same here. Mine look and function great. No regrets on these. If you hate the stock labels I would recommend them.

I feel you man. Today is my one month anniversary for my new Vette. I would be skeptical too.
I do recommend the WCC visor covers. 😉

Noted! I just checked those out based on all of your recommendations. They look more in line with what I’m trying to do. Did any of you get ones with logos, or just pure plain black? If you got the logos, how’s the resolution/quality of the print?

Mine blend pretty well. Since I put them on, I don’t even notice them or think about them anymore. The part I really like is it when the visors are folded down you don’t see them ugly stock Stickers from the outside of the front windshield anymore.

I took a different approach. Had my wife sew a cover made of matching cloth over each label but only on three sides. The open end allows me to temporarily store receipts or “to do lists” . Hey I didn’t say she did it for nothing
