Default DSX e85 kit removal question

My z06 came with a e85 flex fuel device installed and quite frankly I will never use it and would rather sell it to someone who could use it. I've never messed too much with fuel lines on a vette. Is there anything I need to know about before taking it off? There a certain way these are plugged in that I'm not aware of, where taking it off could cause xxx issues and i'm better just leaving as is?

Physically it’s a very simple process - you just have to disconnect the fuel line come from the DSX kit going into your fuel rail, and disconnect the fuel line coming from the car to the DSX kit.

Next step is to remove the harness - it should be plugged into one of the coil's plugs (usually the one far right). You want to unplug the DSX harness and plug the coil's plug back into the coil. A black/grey wire is going from the DSX kit harness to the ECU. Don’t pull on it as you might damage some other connectors on your computers. I would recommend cutting the wire close to the connector, protect the end and tuck it somewhere. The next guy might appreciate having that available or you could use it may you ever change your mind.

Then, you have to plug the car’s fuel line to the fuel rail and you’re done. I took a quick picture on my car to show you, circled in red. Don’t look for the same harness as you, it is different on my car. The hardware should be identical though.

You have to be aware of the software side - chances are your ECU is setup to read the ethanol content from the sensor. I would highly recommend taking it to a tuner first so they update your calibration to deactivate the flex fuel feature (make sure to first have around 10/15% ethanol max in your tank).

Then you should be all set

Just my personal opinion; the kit won't hurt anything and can actually help everyday driving by sensing and tailoring engine running conditions to the actual alcohol level detected in the fuel you are running. If gas prices keep going up you might even get a wild hair and decide to start running E85 if it becomes economically beneficial to do so.
