Default Bose/Nav Start Screen
I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for, maybe I need better search skills. Anyway, Is there a way to change/customize the start screen on the factory Bose/Nav radio control head?

No, you can't customize the C6 start screen. I do this often on other cars and I've spent a lot of time trying to find a hack for the C6 Bose/Nav start screen with no luck.
