Head!!
Hello my fellow Corvette owners/fans ect.. Question!! Son is getting me HEAD UNIT for my birthday/father's day gift. Probably install myself. Please recommend a nice one with Android/Apple car play AND perhaps comes with rear camera. I know Crutchfield sells
( used to be free) the adapters and wires. Has anyone done the job themselves? How difficult?

So my mind went elsewhere after reading the title of this thread. Anyways...Crutchfield is your friend. I have this one but it's currently out of stock. I'm VERY satisfied with it LOTS of other good choices though.
Perhaps "Head unit" would have been a better choice for a thread title.

Just shopped new system.
Started w/ a local audio shop, guy cannot get anything of value.
Checked Crutchfield, everything worthwhile unavailable.
Plenty of 'junk', why it's junk I'd 'spose.

I didn't either. I don't know when they started. they wired everything. I purchased the radio and the required install harness. All I had to do was plug it in to the car and then into the back of the radio. I've wired several over the years, but for the 20 bucks they charged it was well worth not having to mess with it. It took them an extra 2 days to ship, but that wasn't a problem for me.
