Default No Problem 4LT dashboards

There are many threads on the C6 4LT dashboard failures. I have a 2013 4LT interior and have not had any problems, specifically the dashboard leather pull away from the dash. I knew of this problem when I bought the car new so I have always tried to park it in the shady areas or even crack open the windows when it’s in the sun but have parked it in the summer sun at times.
I would be interested in hearing from others who have not experienced the 4LT dash problem. What percent of these dashes fail?

My Centennial vert sits in the garage most of the time; in a cool basement garage the last 5 years. I don't use anything to clean/condition the dash except a damp microfiber towel. My dash started letting loose on the center front late last summer. Unless you get lucky I would guess it's just a matter of how long it takes to fail versus if. Trying to decide how I want to fix mine (dash removal or windshield removal) and whether I want to tackle it myself. I don't really want to do it, but don't think a shop would be especially careful putting the dash back together, so would be more prone to BSR (buzz, squeak, rattle) after reassembly.

I did not experience any lifting or puckering of the leather dash—that is, until year 12 of ownership. I have a Z06 3LZ dash which is the same as 4LT.

So far no problem in my ‘11 GS. It’s garaged at home, in the shade at the cottage, and I use one of those fold up shades if I need to park in the sun for a while. I use saddle soap with water when any of the leather needs to be cleaned.

Mine was fine until I stored it for 6 months while having both knees replaced. That was from early October 2021 through the end of March 2022 so I doubt it got hot. Pulled away starting at the cutout for the HUD.

I've had a '13 GS with 4LT, '15 Stingray with 3LT and current '12 ZR1 with 3LZ. All with the leather dash, and none of them have had any issues. I had the '13 for about 5 years and 35K miles and was daily driven it's first 2-3 years, the '15 was used when I bought it, and I sold it 2 years ago with just under 50K miles and was a daily driver, and the '12 ZR1 has almost 70K miles on it now and typically gets driven 1-2 times a week. All have been subjected to the intense heat/sun in Dallas, TX and again, none of them have had any issues with the dash. I don't use any kind of chemical cleaner/conditioner on them, just wipe them down occasionally with a damp microfiber. I'm definitely not saying leather dash bubbling is not an issue though, as I've known several local Corvette buddies that have had the issue (one at less than 3K miles on a garage queen), and it's really bad on my '14 Grand Cherokee Overland (or course it gets parked out side all the time).

I had a 2009 4LT for 4 years (April 2018 - February 2022). No problems with the dash.

'12 4LT here. No issues so far. I also keep it out of direct sun as much as possible on hot days and use a sunshade religiously.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why the dah pads start to delaminate, even the cars that are stored indoors out of the sun seem to eventually experience this problem

So obviously the real problem with all of your interiors, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, etc ... is that you have been, and still are, unable to produce photos of the said Corvettes. I have noticed this problem in several recent discussion threads.
No. Photos.

Mine is just a lowly 3LT Base Corvette, but at least I am able to produce images of it.
Tracking.

Parked near airplane.

Default Wondered

There seems to be some 4LT dash pads that do OK and others do not. I have read almost every thread here and seems cool garage queens have a better chance than cars that spend time in the sun and heat but there are exceptions to each case so there is no steadfast rule.

12 CE GS 4lt. No issues in the 5 or 6 years I've had it.

'09 3LZ built late '08. Parked in the sun almost every weekend. No lifting - yet. Go figure.
