Does anyone else notice funky/uneven panel alignments and gaps on these cars?
My drivers door and fender are aligned perfectly.
My *passenger* door and fender look like a drunk man put it together. Car has low mileage and isn’t abused/modified. It is however an early model 07 if this means anything.
I heard that smc isn’t as assembly friendly as metal panels are so it’s hard to get the gaps to match perfect.
I don't think there is much variation in the OEM body panels, so it should be possible to adjust your passenger side to make it look just as good as the driver's side. There are adjustments for the door and the fender. Final adjustments (especially on the door) require two guys. If you want good results, take it to a reputable body shop. They should be able to do it while you wait and should not cost much. If your car has been in an accident, all bets are off.
Last year I replaced the lower hinge on the driver's door myself with the assistance of my overhead chain hoist and lifting straps. I got it back together and performed the rough alignment, but took it to the body shop for final alignment. It turned out great.

yeah definitely no accidents on the car- I just noticed the front fender pocking out a little bit part the door.
i read old posts from people complaining that their doors didn’t align with the rear quarters as well.
