Headlight options
I may do an Installation or review video as well to document my experience with them. Very excited to install them.
I drove an Eclipse for 16 years. Lights were really bad at night due to glazing - drivers side was worse I figured because they got more incoming from on -coming traffic. I got some of that lens deglaze like what was advertised on tv. It worked, not like on the commercials, but with lots of time and elbow grease.

As for the lens polishes, I didn't include those in my list, just lens replacement options. From what I have read here on the forums, these sometimes work but don't last unless you follow up with UV clearcoat and are a lot of work for something that doesn't last. I personally have not tried any of these, so am just going by what I've read or seen in Youtube videos.
If my OEM headlights start crazing I will probably go with the Carbides. I recently added drop in LEDs to my high beams in the C6. Not sure how well they work because I rarely get to use the high beams. I have the same drop ins in the low/high/fogs on my F-150 and they work great.
In your case, where you are the third owner, is it possible that owner 1 or 2 did a lens replacement and just never mentioned it?
The other issue with the older original headlights is the aging of the reflectors and projector lenses of the lights themselves. Over time, these age and cause a loss in the amount of light produced. As someone who has recently done an LED headlight replacement, I can tell you that the amount of light output when comparing the original to the new LEDs is like night and day. And this is after doing a headlight lens replacement prior to changing to LEDs as well.
What does age within a realistic time frame is the HID capsule itself. Much like any other light bulb, it's output decreases with age. This also happens with LEDs, but to a lesser extent, they tend to drop in output a little bit, and then fail completely.
All that said, of inwas going to upgrade my headlights, it'd be a sharp lights or similar LED projector backed upgrade and LED projectors. I have quad LED projectors on my TBSS, and theyre phenomenal. I dont see a point tonsoending 1000 bucks for the c7 or c8 style hesdlights (same company makes them btw), for something that wont cone close to equaling the output a minor modification to the oem headlights can do.
NR - call us and we'll go over every option that is best for you.The MAIN options are:
1) OE headlights with Lens swaps
1A) OE headlights with Lens swaps AND goodies <-- lots of options here, see below for more details
2) C7 Style Morimoto - best warranty, most installed aftermarket light on the market
3) C8 Style GTR Carbide - best LED ouput (marginally) coolest startup, arguably most "new" upgrade look.
also rans:
4) Anzo - historically poor long term quality, copy look of the C7 Morimoto, lower warranty. (we do not offer this)
5) DEPO - historically highest aftermarket quality lights (lenses, plastics, construction), requires re-use of OE components, isn't much brighter than stock (WE DO OFFER THIS)
6) Spyder/Sonar - historically poor long term quality, copy look of C7 Morimoto, lower warranty (we do not offer this)

1. Headlight Lens Replacement
2. Upgrade to/Replace HID Bulbs
3. Anzo Replacement Headlights
4. Amazon/E-bay Replacement Headlights (Non-Morimoto or GTR Carbide)
5. Sharp Light Innovations LED Upgrade
6. Morimoto Replacement Headlights
7. GTR Carbide Replacement Headlights
Both of these options are a full headlight replacement.
Morimoto's give you the C7 styling while GTR Carbide give the C8 styling.
Morimoto's have a 5 year warranty, GTR Carbide have a 2 year warranty.
Superior light output over HID options
8. Vette-Lights C6 InfiRai Infinity-Style LED Tail Lights
These are new from Vette-Lights (exclusive??) and are in pre-order stage.
They provide built in reverse lights and an optional amber turn signal if desired.
These will come from factory with smoked (dark) lenses.
These lights provide the infinity mirror look that some people like
1) Headlight lenses should be high quality and we offer our Zen6 with full DOT certification, no other aftermarket vendor can actually provide that. They won't spend the money to do the testing but they will stamp "DOT" on their lenses and hope the consumer doesn't notice they have no documentation to back this up. It's not enough to copy the originals, if you are making another production run, that still should have a DOT certification from a real lab like Cal-Coast INTL.
Our gaskets are improved and OE quality now. We also offer install services and have done likely as many as anyone.
2) This can't be stressed enough, factory bulbs are fine if they have never been used but they will degrade a lot over time. When opening the light, get a new set of Osram CBN bulbs - we offer those as well.
3 and 4) Not a great option, but cheap and quick.
5) I would like to recommend our BI-LED setup, it uses more modern dual and single core Bi-LED units with a high quality metal replacement bracket. It can help eliminate the degraded OE D1S parts and still plugs in like stock.

6 and 7) has been discussed too many times, but your summary is on point.
If your goal is warranty, looks, plug and play, and the ability to resell/keep your stock lights, then the C7 Morimoto on special and C8 units are hard to beat.

If you're interested, let me know - I can get you that 15% off deal or better on some of the non-Morimoto brands.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The haze remover did work on my Eclipse. I didn’t time it, but it was probably a couple hours of repeated applications and cleaning. There were several YouTube videos on ways to remedy this with C6s, but really can’t vouch for any. Hoping mine stay good for a while.

I spent the time and effort on the Eclipse because I didn’t have a lot of money then and I sometimes have trouble letting go of stuff I start - if it’s the last thing I ever do mentality. I think it was the 3M product. You just put some of it on the lens, a few gentle wipes and lens is like new. The stuff did work but required countless applications and muscle.
I like the look of a lot of the replacement headlight units, C7 and C8 styles. I also think the stock units look good. Hopefully it will be a few years before I have to deal with this issue.

Morimoto makes the C7 style light.
GTR Lighting makes the C8 style light.
Sharp Light Innovation LED kit is significantly cheaper, but it is a do-it-yourself kit and requires significant work to pull your existing lenses off your lights so that you can perform the upgrade. If you are not technically inclined or do not have the time to spare, you will need to find someone to do this for you. If you are taking your lenses off, in my personal opinion, you'd be a fool to not take the opportunity to replace the lenses at the same time no matter what condition your existing lenses appear to be in. Adding the cost of new lenses to this equation, as well as the labor required to complete the upgrade (even if you do it yourself, your time is worth something), the price falls close to the other options.
Output of these are similar.

The best lens replacements are from us - Zen6 lenses are the clearest, the only ones that offer real DOT certification the proves they provide better light output than stock OE lenses (clean vs clean lenses provided), and we have since upgraded our gasket material.
This is a great idea and we recommend the Zen6 lens + Zen6 Bi-LED configuration here:

Look forward to that review!!!

That's a main reason why there are even more options for the Ford F150s than there are for C6s. The F150 headlights are garbage. We sell a lot of Hybrid, Vland, and XB Morimoto for those. But some drop ins can be a a good stop gap.

Note that I wasn't trying to call you out specifically, just offering my experiences. Like I stated in my full post, the lenses were excellent. Glad to hear you've updated your gaskets because I must say, the old one was pretty lacking.
Also note that if I had had a contact name, I would have referenced that in the vendor list as well as the forum ID.
