Default Installing new HUD bezel.

I have this new HUD bezel since mine cracked and broke off awhile ago.

And it slots in using these 4 clips(2 on each side).
My only problem is that I don’t want to take off the dash, and that it’s very close to fitting.

I want to sand down one side of the clips so that it will fit. Does anyone have a better way?

Line it up correctly and it fits without any issues. No need to remove the dash or sand anything down. I've removed/reinstalled mine more than a handfull of times. Slide it down toward the windshield and you'll feel it fit down into the opening, then pull it back to lock it into place.

wait, seriously..several threads I’ve read said that you’ve had to remove the dash. And when I tried a little earlier I really didn’t think I could make it fit.
Can you describe a little more what you did?

No there is no reason to remove the dash. I added this above, Slide it down toward the windshield and you'll feel it fit down into the opening, then pull it back to lock it into place.

No problem. It might take you a couple tries to get it lined up right, but it's really pretty simple. Good luck.

How do you remove it? Do you need to pry up to unlock the side facing the driver and then push it towards the windshield?
Thank you for any insight!

You don't need to pry it up. You should be able to just slide it toward the windshield then lift it out.

Did you ever get this to fir properly ? I’m experiencing same problem. I got the “blank” to remove easily. But when I go to install new bezel I received it seems to be “bent” slightly upwards on the windshield end part so it won’t easily slide into its slot on dash. Tried heating it up to make it more pliable but it still won’t slot in perfectly ..,. It also looks like the slots in dash are imperfect as well. Might have to “file down center slot grips on the bezel itself …. Any thoughts ?
