Sadly the stock headlights on the C6 Were really not upto snuff by modern standards… or really even the standards of it’s own time.

Many options exist for various use cases. Everything from led bulbs, replacement projectors to fully replacing with newer more modern housings/technology. The latter is what I did myself opting to swap the lights for c8 carbide style aftermarket lights which are significantly brighter and allow me great night time visibility similar to newer vehicles on the market.

Really, there’s tons of options and the choice is upto you on which is best. There are good options that retain the original housing if you prefer the look of the originals. Maybe some here who’ve gone that route will chime in to provide specific accounts for or against those options.

(These are what I swapped to) - GTR C8 Carbide

On my 2010 GS I did the complete Morimoto swap out on the headlights.
Money well spent.
Huge difference.

HID bulbs work GREAT when new. Unfortunately your car is not new, and the bulbs dim with time. I'd buy some new, high quality HID bulbs first.

LED projectors are all the rage now, and they donworknwell, but unfortunately all the replacement housings for the c6 are ugly as **** and don't fit on the cars. There's the lux king setupnthat would work well, that's what I would use if inwas going to do headlights in my c6, because at least then the lights would fit the car.

HID bulbs can dim over time before they fail. Ballasts can also go bad making the bulb dim (among other issues). I personally don't think the C6 headlights are bad if everything is working how they should. They aren't the best performers when compared to an Acura, Infinity, or S2000 from the era, but they are more than adequate and better than any halogens.

Mine were dim when I bought the car last year and it turned out they had the original bulbs in them. I replaced them with Amazon bulbs that were sadly worse, so I bought these from Philips and love them.

D1S - PHILIPS X-Treme Vision Gen.2

Much cheaper than the aftermarket LED replacement lenses from Anzo, Depo, Morimoto, etc. You also cannot replace the bulb in a lot of the aftermarket options so you have to buy a new set if they go out past the warranty.

Edit: I had this open for a couple hours while responding and just saw FAUEE posted basically the same info. Thanks
