I have a 2007 corvette and have been told by three mechanics that the harmonic balancer is failing. The last mechanic says he can repair but can not find the part. It is currently driving well. But any idea how long until it fails? Any ideas how to find the part? RWoolley
Harmonic balancers are readily available from many sources. Do not buy another GM balancer. Go with ATI, Powerbond, Jegs, etc. Prices will vary from $150.00 to $450.00. They are all good products and superior to the balancer that is in your car. Look at Rock Auto or Jegs on line. Make sure you buy a new bolt as the bolt that is in there now cannot be re-used. Most shops will charge you 6 to 8 hours to install

Harmonic balancers are available from many Corvette Forum vendors, Rock Auto, Summit Racing, Jeggs High Performance, CARID, Parts Geek, Amazon, every auto parts store, every speed and performance shop. There are hundreds of threads on harmonic balancers on this forum.
It’s a common problem and you need to get it changed out with an aftermarket one asap. I would not let your last mechanic to do the job if he can’t find a simple part for the car.
I have a 2011 GS with 8000 miles and am getting a chirping sound and a wobble. Think I want to use a power bond and an ARP bolt and seal. Can anybody give me the part numbers and best place to purchase and maybe the time required to replace everything. The car is show quality and just had it ceramic coated and am worried about mechanic scratching the fenders when replacing it. Can it all be done from underneath the car any help would be really appreciated

Posts #2 and #3 answered 2 of your 3 questions. I used an ATI so I have no Powerbond part numbers.
