Default 2013 4lt

I'm looking at a 2013 60th anniversary edition GS, 6MT, Vert, 4LT. I read about issues with the 4LT interior buckling on the C7. Are there any known issues with the C6?
Anything I should be taking a closer look at?
Thanks for any input you might have.

Plenty of threads about the glue on the leather dash giving away with the C6 4lt interior. Pretty costly repair.

It can happen, but it doesn't happen to every car. I had a 4LT '13 GS that I drove for 35K miles over 5 years, and the dash never had any issues. Then I moved to a 3LT '15 Stingray, that had almost 50K miles and 5 years on it when I got rid of it, and again no issues. Finally, I currently have a 3LZ (same leather dash) '12 ZR1 that has 72K miles and has zero dash issues. Maybe I've been lucky, as I have several friends that have had the dash in their C6 & C7 replaced due to bubbling.

Thanks, I was hoping it was only the C7 with that issue.

Wow, is there any way to tell if it might be heading toward bubbling or just a crap shoot?

Inspect it really well, if you see any bubbling/separation, it will only get worse. FYI, this isn't specific to Corvettes, it's pretty much every car with a leather dash. Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, etc all have issues with it. My Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland has bubbled up horribly, but I don't care as that's a beater vehicle.

Thanks Evan. I had an issue with door panels delaminating on a Porshe Boxster. I'd hate to go through that again.

Good to see that cadyshac. Is your car a 2013?

Yes sir, 2013.
The car you are looking at is a very desirable Corvette, don't pass on it if you will be wondering "what if" down the road.

That is my thinking cadyshac. I'm going to see the car again on Monday and inspect the leather dash real close as recommended. It needs four tires so I am trying to negotiate the price a bit.

ps
This is not a 427 edition....which is OK with me since I've heard about issues with the heads on the 427.
Of course, I think all the bad Corvette news fit to print is on these forums.
