Hi Group
I need to buy a set. Any suggestions? Who`s got the best deal. Where to buy them and what kind of pricing can I expect. Are the non-GMC as good as GMC brand.
Thanks
You will get lots of opinions. I have bought 3 sets of TPMS sensors on ebay for $25-$35 for a set of 4. Oldest set is currently 5 years old; zero issues with any of them. I will be going to ebay for a set for the Centennial next time I buy tires. The OEMs are at least 10 years old now so I am on borrowed time.
I just check on ebay for a seller that has a high rating and has sold a bunch of the product I am purchasing.
Get the Schrader from rockauto. They will cost less than 100 bucks delivered. Schrader makes the oem sensors that cost considerably more. I have them and no issues in 2 years.
Semi related question... but my rear tires both read 0 pressure, and I'm assuming the sensor batteries are shot. But why don't I get any low pressure tire warning light? The only way I know they aren't functioning is when I go to the screen to check tire pressure and see both rears reading zero. Almosy half afraid to replace them. Car is a 2005 btw.

If the car is an '05 & they haven't been replaced, you're well beyond the typical battery life. You could buy a TPMS reset tool (about $15) and try to rest them. Generally if the TPMS aren't reading you'll get XX and not 0

Disregard...see next message [I'm not seeing those on Rock Auto, can you please elaborate? My car is an '06.]

Disregard, see next message [Did you have to buy the nuts separately for these?]
Do you know if these are pre-programmed? I'm not seeing this detail in the listing.
I don't. Called and asked about the nuts (included) but I didn't ask about programming. I have the EL-50448 "relearn tool" so I should be covered. When I called the guy picked right up and seemed to know what he was talking about so you might want to call and ask.
