Researching Wireless Carplay head units over at Crutchfield, it appears that these use their own GPS Antenna vs the GPS on the phone. Included in the description is this:
GPS antenna (attached 10' cable terminated by a FAKRA connector)
A mounting plate for this antenna is also mentioned.
Where have you all been putting this? Does anyone have a picture? I am having a hard time visualizing it.

Thanks in advance!
You can mount it under the dash, on top of the center HVAC vents, it works fine there, just be sure to mount it on top of the included metal mounting plate. If you get a Kenwood system, they use the same type of connector as the stock GPS antenna, so it'll plug right into a Kenwood, Pioneer systems require an adapter to adapt the stock GPS antenna connector to the Pioneer, I'm the only one that makes these adapters, so if you go with a Pioneer system, let me know and I can make you an adapter for it.
Oh, right - good call! My GS had factory Nav so if that can be used, it's just already done. I'll definitely look at the Kenwood head units more seriously now and the Pioneer as well. Thank you.
I was looking to stay on the full Maestro compatibility list (it seems cool) but so many of these units seem sold out. Crazy.

EDIT: Upon further review, Maestro appears to not be compatible with corvettes in general, so scratch that.
Yep, for some reason Maestro doesn't make a interface for the Corvette which has a lot of us Corvette owners scratching our heads wondering why, myself and others have written to Maestro enquiring about it, but it doesn't sound like they plan on making one for some reason. So the most commonly used interface on this forum has been the PAC RP5-GM11 https://www.bing.com/aclick?ld=e8HUT...6cf945de15d867 Something else you might be interested in, is if you're also planning on adding XM radio to your new system, the stock XM tuner can't be reused, so you'll have to get this tuner https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV...0V1-Tuner.html You can however, with the use of some adapter cables, reuse the stock XM antennas, this thread will show you how, see post #11 for an up date on the cables. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-xm-tuner.html

I recall reading something on their forums that if you program the Maestro as if its a Toyota Land Cruiser, it works somehow....not sure I'd do that anyway. Dashlogic and the built in DIC give you more than enough info.
