When I plug my phone into the center console USB port I get the message "USB port overloaded - disconnect device".
Has any one else seen this and if so what can be done about it?
The old USB Ports also cant handle the data rates of new phones usb's also. This is why I did not hookup direct to console USB with new Head Unit, I need to buy a new replacement if I decide to take advantage of the spot the OEM is at.
My 2011 handles my iPhone 12 Pro just fine, so not sure what everyone is talking about. Now the console overheating the phone? That's a different story.

Ditto!
Except for 90% of the time I keep a Flash drive loaded with my music plugged into the console port, and than there isn't really any reason to plug my phone in.
Except for the lighter receptacle the USB port is the only way to charge your phone. It was actually OK for a long time, just started doing this recently.
I keep my old iPod plugged into the usb. Been there 5 years now. No issues. I do know that when my phone has been plugged into usb it charges rather slowly.
Mine was fine for quite awhile...just started doing this recently.
Strange C6 electrical gremlins that suddenly appear are typically a sign the battery needs to be replaced.
A second common fix is to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes so all the cars computers will reset and than reconnect the battery. You will have to reindex your windows but it costs nothing to try.
