Arlen, this question has been asked in several of these "fuel smell" postings, and I have never seen an answer. I also do not recall anyone with a '12 or '13 C6 post that they had the problem.

While I feel that GM should have covered the cost on this repair, regardless of year/miles, it is an issue that a fairly small percentage of owners experience. So, it is hard to determine if there was ever a fix, or if later year C6's owners have just been lucky.

If you take the short amount of time to read the attachment I added to my post #2, you will see that the GM Special Coverage Adjustment applies to model years 2007 - 2013. The document release date is January 2017 so can assume there is an issue up through the end of the C6 production run.

The GM resolution is to replace the left side fuel pump (module).

If you compare the 15682 bulletin in my post #2 dated 1/17 and the same bulletin in post #3 that is dated 7/16, one states the vapor is coming from a crack at the electrical connector and the other states the vapor is coming from a crack at the fuel line nipple.
