Hello. name is gary just bought my first corvette. c-6 convertible silver/gray interior. previous owner added "double d" exhaust. I've wanted one since high school. finally at age 70 i have it. starting to adapt to my R.A. first addition was a steering wheel cover to fit my hands
Amazon Amazon
works great. I've already learned a lot here already, so thanks for that. thats enough for now. Oh, I live near St Louis.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Corvette ownership! Silver and grey vert was a great choice! Of course I am a little biased. 😁

Welcome. You’ve chosen a great car, and already you’ve made a great decision to join the Corvette forum. It’s a great under appreciated resource for all sorts of needs, or questions.

Welcome! It's never too late. In fact, I probably should have waited. I'm only 54, and I've owned six Corvettes so far (I still have two of them in the garage - a 2001 Coupe and a 2011 Grand Sport convertible). I shudder to think how much of my retirement money I've blown on cars. And I doubt I'm done yet. I still want a mid-engine variant.

Congrats and welcome. I was 68 when I got mine. Probably good I didn't get it in my 30's or 40's. I probably would have spent a ton on superchargers, cams, wheels and many others. I have spent on a few things like clothing, console cover, battery tender, floor mats, window valet, colored door handles, etc. For the most part I love it as it is. Enjoy yours and spending a few bucks on it. I bet you get a new steering wheel to replace that cover ha ha.

No, I needed a "fatter" wheel my arthritis won't let me grip a regular sized wheel tightly enough. not planning on spending toooo much. ordered a new head unit. wanted the updated features.
Thinking of taking a trip in the spring and I use waze, ordered a Kenwood DMX7709S with associated wiring, should be here tomorrow.
