My 2010 GS has the original battery located in the back. I keep it on a charger and it starts fine. If I leave the charger off for a day or two the battery voltage drops to 12.3V which seems low to me. I'm thinking it will need to be changed soon and have some questions for the group;
1. Is there a source for an original appearing battery?
2. Are the rear located batteries any different in size than those mounted under the hood?
3. How did Chevrolet route the battery cables from the rear to front? I don't see any evidence of their routing.
Thanks
Al
Is your car a Manual or an Auto? Only a manual coupe GS would have had previsions for a rear mounted battery because of the dry sump. Any delco battery should look factory appearing so just buy the equivalent of what you have. Just make sure you get the right one for you combo. All autos and convertible manuals will have the front mounted battery.
