Dashcam DVR on Android Headunit
Anyone installed a relatively recent Android headunit? I'd love some info on the current version of best options.
Anyone using a DVR app on Android Headunit? I'm looking to use an app to record front and rear cameras automatically to an SD card (hopefully) in the headunit.
Any experience / info regarding equipment, software, etc is appreciated. I've been looking around but I haven't found much lately.

I have an eonon android unit and recently installed a front cam and was looking to do what you are asking. I’m actually at the point of giving up and getting an alpine and a dash cam. I don’t think there’s a way or at least one I could find.

I'm waiting to hear back from a couple manufacturers, I'll share what I find out. I feel like it should be easy but I just haven't figured it out yet. I know a lot of these units only have one input that they will record, some of them are USB. I'd really like to record both cameras but I guess I can settle for one.
I know I can get a digital rear view mirror dash cam that will record front and rear cameras, maybe that will turn out to be better, instead of the android head unit. It looks like it will actually function better than looking thru the dark tint on my hatch, I just don't know if you would be able to make it look clean or not, the few I've looked at preform good from what I can tell but they have multiple wires coming out of the mirror and it looks terrible.
