I was going to install a gauge in order to read AFR too, but decided to have my AFR reading shown on the DIC instead (using a DashControl OBD2 Display Controller).
It can also display any of the other info that the car monitors (Spark Timing, Boost, Misfires, LTFT, Injector Duty Cycle, etc, etc)
Dang that’s pretty awesome! I got a aem guage installed already, though I just saw a pic where it sits in the cup holder in a pod and was looking for it

I like that implementation. However I prefer a stand alone gauge running always to look at whenever...I also am a fan of multiple aftermarket gauges to gauge exactly what is going on, nothing like instant monitoring..
I know it's not what you asked exactly but i really liked what i did with my c6 base i sold a couple months ago. I trimmed out the hvac vent to the left of the steering wheel. It was very clean and fit great. And it was free. Just thought I'd throw it the idea.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Both of those look good for vision - personally I'll be implementing stand alone pods with several different gaugings, I like having an expanded dashboard.
