On driver 2 position my side view mirrors are aimed in and down. I can see parking lines perfectly while backing in. Also gives a good picture of where to stop before contacting the curb. Saved me from a backup camera purchase on 4 cars

Best option is a new head unit and backup camera. Fairly easy to install and will give you better sound for the stereo as well as modern functions (i.e. Bluetooth, AndroidAuto/CarPlay, etc). Crutchfield.com has everything you need and plenty of selection and great sorting/filtering for searching. Another option is buy an expensive wireless backup cam/monitor combo off Amazon. My dad did this for his, and placed the monitor on the backside of the driver’s sun visor so it’s hidden when not in use. Or you can even get Bluetooth backup cams that will work with your phone.
I just purchased a Auto-Vox cs2 with wireless camera! I’m concerned about the size of the camera but we’ll see when it arrives. I saw a video on YouTube where the driver mounted the video display in the cup holder and plugged into the cigarette lighter in the center console, very clean! Will try that!

Agreed, just added the back up camera to the Sony head unit I added a few months ago. Would have been smart to have done it when I put in the head unit. Fortunately, getting to the head unit is fairly easy.
I went with a Pioneer ND-BC8, as I have a Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX head unit.
This camera is a bit different, as you splice for power and ground at the headunit, instead of the lights. I just used a wire splice on the headunit harness on the red and black wire.
This Pioneer headunit knows when you're in reverse, so it automatically turns it on the camera when you do so. But since you wired it to the main power and ground, you can view the rear view camera anytime you choose!
That’s pretty cool! I’ll consider that comb if I change out my HU some day. Right now I going for the wireless camera with the plug-in dash monitor (Auto-Vox CS2). Opened package, planned wiring and camera location just waiting weather to install!
I have a 07 coupe. FWIW, I Just bought a new JVC head unit and camera from Crutchfield. Works flawlessly. They charged me $49 for the camera. You can`t beat Crutchfield for service.
