So I’ve read here: “Never just start your car, pull it out on the driveway, shut if off and let it sit there.” I get why, to avoid moisture build up in the engine. But how do you guys avoid this? Let’s say it’s bath day. You pull the car out, so do you let it idle until it’s up to temp? Or just take it for a drive after you wash it? TIA and Merry Christmas!

The only time this is an issue is if you are storing your car for long periods. It is better to just let it sit rather than starting it every once in a while during the storage period.

It is an issue if you do it over and over without driving the car enough to warm the engine and removing the moisture.

If it's 'bath day' and that's all it is, I take it for a 20 minute drive to warm things up, wash it, dry it, and then a short drive to dry off the brakes. I figure that it's still retained enough heat that I don't need to go all that far. That's my usual routine after I've been on a tour or trip and have gotten back too late to clean it up. It gets it's bath the next realistic opportunity after that.
