Door locks.
I have a 2008 convertible and it is parked in a storage unit. It is started every week
and I take it to shows once a month. I don"t know if this has anything ti do with it but
it got into the low 20 degrees this last week. who wouldl think in Florida. I went to start it
today and the doors would not open, both them. I pulled the latch in the trunk and it
opened. The car started right up and I let it run for 15 minutes and shut it off .I tried the
the doors and it did the same thing. Any suggestions ? Thanks again.
Note, if you the batttery is too low and does cause the module glitch problem, when you go to pull codes, will be littered with codes from when the modules did go under voltage (lots of U codes).
Quick fix, disconnect the battery cables off the car battery, then touch just the battery cables together for about a second away from the car battery. If battery is low, good time to put it on a charger as well, with it disconnected from the car.
This will drain all the power from all the modules in the car, so when the car battery is reconnected, it will hard reset all the modules in the car to fix any glitched module problem. Just reminder on a hard reset, will need to re-index the windows, and on some radios. rest the time.
