mine has a hairline crack about an inch long. I'll be looking for a replacement local...ish to avoid shipping. I expect to pay 800 to 1k based on what I've seen for a top in perfect condition

My experience...I've bought two of them, first one was like 7 years ago for $600, was in really good shape then two years ago in 2020 I bought one that is absolutely perfect, zero flaws and I paid $700, honestly if the guy was asking more probably would have paid as much a $800 because finding them in perfect condition is hard to come by! Just my 2 cents worth.

I've bought and sold several C6 targa tops. A targa top in near perfect shape can be bought for $600 if you look around and have patience. The same tops can be sold for up to $1200 if you're in no hurry to sell and find someone that is desperate to obtain one. Those prices are all picked up in person.
I know that's a wide range but it really depends on how patient/desperate both buyer and seller are.
Solid tops sell for about the same price but with a lot more variables and they don't sell nearly as fast.
FWIW i prefer the solid tops as they keep the car much cooler and are much quieter than the clear tops, but that's just me. But depending on how picky you are i wouldn't pass up a great deal on a color matching solid top while you continue searching for your dream top.

One of those two you get automatically...
A new assembly clear top was always 12-1400 new...Op...... you might be able to find just the glass and use your hardware for 700 ish....Used one will be 6 to 1k as you already seen here...
I remember vaguely a company making reproductions....I'll see if I can find it...

Many confuse the original option choice. $750 for a clear top was if you didn't also want the std painted top.

NO! you can not buy a new clear targa tops from GM for $750. The $750 being mentioned was the cost to upgrade from a solid to a clear top when the car was ordered new and really has no bearing on prices today.

I have dual tops - love it.
