Was changing out my door twiddlers, and suddenly none of my key fobs are recognized. I put the fob into the slot in the glovebox - nothing. Is this a symptom of perhaps my battery just died?

Car keeps displaying Accessory Mode On - but I cannot turn it off. I also am getting no lights.

If the slot in the glove box doesn't recognize the fob, it's probably the car battery. In the slot, it's the car that furnishes the juice.

thanks! That’s my thought too. I’m a new owner, bought the car in Oct. I live in Indy, so it’s been really cold here for a few weeks. The car has been sitting. I now have the battery out and am going to take it and get it tested - likely will just go ahead and get a new one. Hope that’s it….there were no issues before

If you are new to Corvette ownership be sure you use a battery tender (not a charger, but a maintainer) at all times you're not driving the car. These cars "eat" batteries and left for more than a couple of weeks not on a charger will drain a battery. Once a battery is completely drained they likely will never perform as new again. If you have been using a tender then perhaps you were just due for a new battery. Plan on a new one every two to three years in any vette. Also you might want to clean both battery connections as well as all grounds. Good connections are also critical to battery performance.

I am brand new to Corvette ownership….so learning as I go. I did not have this on a tender- but I will be looking into one for sure.

Update - it was indeed the 4 year old battery that went dead. New battery and all is now good.
