Default cooling system

I have a 2005 C6 Z51 6sp Tremec T56. On draining the cooling system everything i read online only mentions opening up the drain valve on the bottom of the radiator. Does this drain the entire system including coolant in the block. This doesn't seem right !! Looks like the block plugs are impossible to get too !! ??

That's a good start, but you're correct that's all it's going to go is drain the radiator. I have this tool

https://www.ebay.com/itm/28494510365...mis&media=COPY
And it works awesome, gets all air bubbles out. I always pull the thermostat out, drain all antifreeze that I can in what ever catch container you have so it doesn't go down the storm drains.

Put it back together Without the thermostat installed, fill the radiator with regular old tap water and start the engine and let it run for a few minutes with the heater on full hot. Drain all of this out which should be mostly water, redo again.

Then reinstall the thermostat ( maybe a brand new one if you wish) then use the vacuum tool to re introduce your antifreeze mix. The tool puts the entire system in a vacuum to eliminate any air bubbles then sucks antifreeze in without air getting in.

Really fun and easy!!

That's my 2 cents worth and has worked great for me for years and years
