I have a 2012 Z06 that I purchased new. Within the past 6 to 8 months the dash covering in the area in front of the passenger has developed ripples, almost as if there are bubbles underneath or sections of it have come unglued. Can’t imagine why this is happening. This car is always parked in a garage and kept in as new condition. Just wondering if anyone with a C6 has had a similar experience and could suggest a sensible approach to rectifying the problem. Haven’t had the opportunity to have a professional interior specialist have a look at it and could use a recommendation for one in the Palm Beach to Stuart FL area.
Literally a million threads on this. Google is your friend. Known issue & you'll need to remove the dash to fix it or have it fixed correctly. Removing the dash isn't difficult, takes about 1-2 hours depending on your level of mechanical ability.
* while you have the dash out I would strongly recommend you take your HUD projector out and reinforce the screws that hold the mirror assembly as the plastic tabs tend to break and the mirror falls into the unit thus making your HUD useless. It's really simple with the dash out, just remove the a/c ducts on top of the dash, remove the projector, open it up and put washers under all the screws. Then put it back in
Lousy glue give-up the ghost, reported often enough.
BIG reason informed owners stay away from leather dash.
Either repair it yourself, or have a shop do it for you.
Your call.
Some owners were so disgusted they'd never wanted to go thru' delam drama again.
Replaced leather dash w/ a regular dash.
Is it cost effective to remove the windshield? I recall others with the same issue completed the repair/regluing in this manner. Ideally, a chipped/cracked windshield would make the job less expensive. Best of luck!

Why risk it, windshields are expensive. Taking our time sorting and labeling every screw, nut, bolt, push pin, etc., it took my 10 year old son & I about an hour 45 to remove the dash. Took about an hour 20 to put it back in after the dash was fixed. Cost $365 at a custom auto upholstery shop to condition, stretch, and re-glue the leather. Tbh, I could've done it myself knowing what was involved.
I've see quotes posted here ranging from $1,000 - $3,000 to have a shop do this repair. It's honestly not that difficult. The majority of that cost is to R&R the dash.
